Hello New Mexico!
I am Paul Spencer, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for the position of Representative for New Mexico House District 6. As we stand on the precipice of the 2024 election, I am reaching out to you with a message of hope, progress, and a commitment to address the pressing issues that affect our economy and communities.
Like you, I am deeply concerned about the challenges we face. Our economy is struggling, and our communities are grappling with rising crime rates and already failing infrastructure.
We cannot ignore the detrimental impact of the mandates imposed on us by our governor, which infringe upon our Second Amendment rights and force us into adopting electric vehicles, all the while waging war on our natural resources and putting thousands of families out of work. We must acknowledge that these changes come at a time when 85% of New Mexicans fall below the Median Household Income level, as indicated by the 2020 census.
I believe in the power of unity, and I firmly believe that together, we can bring about the solutions we so desperately need. I stand before you today, asking for your support, as we embark on a journey towards a better future for House District 6 and all of New Mexico.
NOW is OUR CHANCE to address the challenges head-on. We must tackle the rising cost of groceries.
New Mexico is the sixth most expensive state to buy essential food items.
We need to find sustainable solutions to lift our fellow New Mexicans out of welfare dependency, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to succeed.
Now is OUR CHANCE to prioritize the safety of OUR communities, curbing the alarming rates of kidnapping, abduction, and auto theft that plague our streets.
We cannot turn a blind eye to the devastating impact of illegal drugs/ alcohol-related deaths, violent crime, and the overall deterioration of our quality of life.
We must demand accountability from our leaders.
As one of the top recipients of federal funding, we deserve transparency and responsible management of these resources.
We cannot settle for being the third-poorest state in the Nation, with high rates of uninsured drivers, suicides, and child poverty.
It is time to revitalize our education system, ensuring that every child has access to quality education and a brighter future. We must invest in the maintenance of our rural roads and critical infrastructure making them safe and reliable.
And as we continue to battle the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we must prioritize the health and well-being of our citizens.
I am ready to be your voice New Mexico, fighting for the solutions we need and deserve. But I cannot do it alone. I need your support, your ideas, and your determination to make a difference. Together, we will bring about a New Mexico that thrives, where opportunities abound, and local communities prosper.
Now is OUR CHANCE for a brighter future. Together, we will rewrite the narrative of House District 6 and New Mexico as a whole. NOW is OUR CHANCE TO stand united, for a stronger economy, safer communities, and a government that works for New Mexicans by New Mexicans
